Treasure Island Playcentre for children under 8. Healthy food prepared daily in our cafe. Relax while your children have fun.

You'll need:

A Shoe Box
Paint - Red, Black and Gold/Orange
Paint Brushes
Sturdy Sticky Tape
Optional - String or Wool
Optional - A Printer to print out our Treasure Chest template.

Paint the shoe box and the lid Red.Let the paint dry.

Using the Black paint, paint two stripes onto your box (like straps) and a place for a lock.
Or alternatively, you can glue on black paper or card. Let the paint dry.

Paint a keyhole and some studs for the straps using the Gold/Orange paint. Let the paint dry.

Using the sturdy sticky tape, attach the lid to the box (put the tape on the inside of the box and lid).

Add any final decorations to your Treasure Chest.

Some ideas for your Treasure Chest:

Glue two pieces of String or Wool to the lid and the box, so that you can tie your chest shut.
Fill your chest with chocolate coins, painted rocks (for gems) or old costume jewelry.
