Information for Party Bookings

If you have booked a party, please read the following information in advance of your party to help everything run smoothly during your party booking,

  • Please arrive at the start time of the party, no earlier please, we respectfully ask you leave at the allocated time to allow the day to run smoothly for all Treasure Island guests.
  • Once in the party room we ask that you and your guests do not re-enter the play area.
  • All belongings need to go into the party room with you and your guests and all children must be wearing their shoes in the party room.
  • No outside food or drink permitted (exception of baby food). We also ask that children do not take food and drink onto the play frame.
  • Cake cannot be eaten on premises, we will happily cut the cake and put into napkins to take home. Parents are also responsible for the close supervision of all children around candles to avoid any accidents.
  • Pirate Pete is available for all parties (except private hire just play package), please let us know if you would like to see him and we ask you do not let children jump or hit Pirate Pete.
  • Glitter Tattoos/ Face painting is for one hour duration, parents are expected to encourage children to have their faces painted within the hour timeframe. Glitter Tattoos/ Facepainting is unavailable after the hour.
  •  PARKING ..Saturday/Sunday the NHS car park directly Infront of Treasure Island can be used for Treasure Island customers. Please do not park in neighbouring/other businesses parking spaces. There is also a multi-story car park a few minutes’ walk away in the main shopping area.
  • Socks must be worn at all times in the play Area/frame.
  • The management of Treasure Island will not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour towards there staff or to any other members of the public.
  • We cannot accept any responsibility for injury or damage to children or clothing while using the play frame, parent supervision is essential.
  • If you or any of your guests have any food allergies/dietary requirements, please inform us before your party.
  • Babies in arms or in a carry cot who are not using the play equipment are not chargeable and do not need to be allocated a ticket. All children using the play equipment are chargeable.
  • Treasure Island has a strict no smoking policy and we politely ask if you need to smoke you do it away from the building, please.
  • You may set up a tab when you arrive, please ask a member of staff.
  • If you require any highchairs in the party room, please ask a member of a team for help yourself from those available around the play centre.
  • The under 4’s area is for children under 4 only.
  • Age restriction under 11’s and height restriction of 1.48m apply.
  • Cancellations… deposits are not refundable; however, we will transfer the date if available.

All the above requests are set out to ensure you have a fantastic time during your party at Treasure Island, but also to ensure we comply with all relevant health and safety and food hygiene regulations.

*Policy on external catering. We do not permit catering to be provided by outside caterers or private individuals to ensure compliance with food hygiene and allergen regulations. Customers bringing their own food or outside catering will be refused. This applies to all parties and private hire packages. Responsibility rests with the person booking the party to ensure all their guests are aware of this policy.

Outside birthday cakes are permitted to be brought into Treasure Island however once cut, they will be wrapped for consumption off site.

We do not allow birthday cakes to be served in the main play area due to safety measures. We will happily cut and wrap cake for your guests to be taken away. All naked flames must be kept in the party room away from the play area to ensure the safety of all visitors and must be overseen by a member of our team.

Piñatas are not permitted due to allergen and safety reasons

Please note that we do not permit external mascots, face painting or other activities to be brought into Treasure Island to ensure all safety measures, insurance and DBS checks are followed and to ensure that the timing of the activity is planned around your party and food.

*Deposits – Important Note – Party Deposits are non-refundable at all times and we are unable to move bookings to alternative times/dates. We appreciate that things sometimes change, however as a small business we have to ensure that the costs of staffing, admin and un-used food are covered once a party is booked.

*Sensory Room – If you would like your party children to use our Sensory room, this is only available for our 10am party slot at weekends. Outside of these hours the sensory room is not available. This is a free facility at limited times only.

*Free Return/ Party Vouchers – As part of our party package, all birthday children will received a free return soft play voucher. Vouchers are given a fixed expiry date and must be used within this time. We are unable to extend the expiry date of vouchers.
